Focused on creating inclusive opportunities for all students to explore consulting.
MECG was created with the vision of bridging the gap between engineering and business, offering students from all majors the opportunity to explore the consulting world. The founders noticed that many other clubs had strict membership quotas due to Ross affiliation or required incoming knowledge. Therefore, MECG prides itself on being open to anyone eager to learn more about business and consulting, regardless of prior experience or academic background.
The founders sought to create an inclusive environment where members could tailor their experience based on their interests, whether that means engaging in technical or business-focused projects or networking through coffee chats with members in their interested fields. MECG was founded with an emphasis on a 'what you put in is what you get out' philosophy, allowing members to grow at their own pace while contributing to meaningful work.
In a rapidly evolving world adapting to new technology, there was a clear demand for a club that combines both soft skills and hard skills.
